FUJIFILM X-H2S marks a new era of imaging potential. Built around a 26.1-megapixel, X-Trans 5 stacked back-illuminated sensor, this camera’s quality is in a league of its own. Minimised moiré, improved colour accuracy and overall fidelity are all assured, along with faster processing. Add enhanced low-light capabilities and up to 14 stops of dynamic range into the mix, and you’re looking at near-limitless creative potential.
Users will also be thrilled by a new Deep Learning AI Adaptive autofocus algorithm, leading to astounding focus acquisition. All manner of subjects, far beyond faces and eyes, are recognised including animals and birds and tracked, even thier fast and erratic movements, in lighting conditions as low as -7EV*1. Serving as an authentic hybrid camera, video performance is simply off the charts for a compact mirrorless camera. Record at a pristine 6.2K at 30P utilising the whole sensor, fire faster frame rates of 120P at 4K, or go ultra slow-motion with a Full HD 240P option. Those with more professional workflows can enjoy internal 10-bit 4:2:2 Apple ProRes footage, with ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW available via HDMI to an external monitor. A new F-Log2 gamma curve joins F-Log, unlocking more filming options, delivering post-production perfection.
As if all this isn’t enough, there’s more than one trick left up X-H2S’s sleeve. Stable frames come by way of 7-stop IBIS. With a wide lens, that could mean handheld image making at shutter speeds down to 1 sec. Those using long telephoto optics will also see hugely expanded options. Elsewhere on the speed front, expect bursts of 15fps with the mechanical shutter; 40fps with the electronic shutter while still managing AF and AE. Thanks to high-speed buffering, there’s no limit to the number of JPEG and RAW stills that can be enjoyed in mechanical shutter mode. Whether it’s wily nature, action-packed sports or fleeting street scenes, your scene remains firmly in reach.
